Redbelt USA, 2008 Director: David Mamet Starring:
Matt: - Adam: C-
|
Disappointing David Mamet film that features the usual snappy Mamet dialogue but also a plot that makes absolutely no sense at all. Too many loose ends are left untied. Characters disappear off the screen without explanation (in fact you wonder why they were there in the first place.) Characters behave with little regard for logic or common sense. There are some interesting ideas here but they are completely swamped by a script that is paradoxically both over and under written. Perhaps a first for modern cinema. Entirely forgettable. AL |
